Now that at least some of the Elite Media are admitting that much of the reporting coming out of New Orleans in the aftermath of the Katrina-caused flooding was just plain piffle, based on rumor and urban legend-quality sources, I bring to your attention something interesting that has begun in other areas of the news.
The story that ran all yesterday, in print, online and on the tv newsnets about the British priest who was dismissed from a school for saying that Harry Potter was gay...withdrawn from publication by the news agency that originally reported it. They admitted that the report was false. Of course, the story ran thru the daily news cycle and has not been reported this morning on, at least, FNC...and I bet that none of the sources that presented this story yesterday will retract it or tell the story of the withdrawal.
The story that ran all yesterday, in print, online and on the tv newsnets about the mansion in Los Angeles that burned down...supposedly the building used in the old Batman series? Also withdrawn as false. It was the wrong building! Again, we'll wait to see if the Elite Media admit they were snookered by bad sourcing.
Whether they admit it or not, though, is a smaller point beside the fact that at least on these two minor stories, someone is ADMITTING THEY GOT IT WRONG!
Hey...it's a start.
